Making Bread with Waea Paea

This week we made bread with Whaea Paea. Whaea mixed all the ingredient and we helped her

roll the bread into balls. We cooked the bread for ten minutes and then we ate the delicious bread with butter and jam. It tasted delicious.

Book Parade

Today we had our PCS book parade. Some of us dressed up as book characters. Can you guess which characters we are?

Tui Art

In term 2 we some drew some lovely pictures of the Tui. We coloured them with pastel then painted them with dye.

We then wrote some haikus to describe our Tui.

Pacifika Showcase

In term 1 the Kaiviti Stars performed for the Pacifika Showcase. They had so much fun learning the dance. We were all so proud of them. The Kakariki children also performed a song that Mr Duncan wrote. It was called Bula Fiji.

Plays

This week we had fun reading plays to the class.  Shivan was really funny and he made us laugh.

This term some of us celebrated Diwali.  We were allowed to wear our special celebration clothes to school.  We looked spectacular in all the beautiful colours.

Our Busy Term

We had a very busy term. Here is some of our work.

We hosted a school assembly. We performed a play about Maui and sang a waiata. We then wrote a story and completed some fabulous artwork on Kid Pix.

We studied Samoa and then made drew and painted some tapa patterns. We put all our tapa patterns together to make a big tapa cloth. It is hanging on our wall, so pop in and see it sometime.

On the last week of term we made this interesting pet rocks.
